Q: Tell us about the Streaming Track.

A: The Streaming Track is going to involve a mix of powered by Apache projects, use cases and innovations around event sourcing, interactive query, and streaming SQL. What’s interesting about this track is that we received an overwhelming response from the community in terms of submitting streaming-related speaking proposals.

We decided to have this as a dedicated track so that we can focus on the many interesting learning uses cases. There will be a lot of interesting presentations on different projects like Kafka as well as newer projects

Q: What can attendees look forward to at this track?

A: The Streaming Track provides great ways to learn about trends, newer developments and innovations. Companies will be interested in learning more about Interactive Query and Streaming SQL developments.

The Streaming SQL presentation will address the entire topic and examine how to resolve relationships between streaming data and syntax extension in regards to carrying data that comes along within stream processing. We will have Kenneth Knowles and very knowledgeable people from different companies presenting this information about this space, including Julian Hyde.

Meeting and talking to project leads and committers in person is another valuable benefit to attending the track. By asking questions and learning, attendees can find themselves working with these projects as well.
